Our Staff
Nneka Okala is the Directress of Greenbrier Montessori School. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland, and also holds a St. Nicholas Primary Montessori certificate, (AMS). Nneka lives in Chesapeake with her husband Chinedu, two children, Odiraa 13, and Zimuzo, 11 and her mother Christine. Besides being a Montessori teacher and directress, Nneka enjoys cooking traveling and being around her family. She is also a religious education teacher at The Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Ms. Adonica Williams is a native of Hampton Roads. She has a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Old Dominion University. She is an American Montessori Society (AMS) certified Montessori teacher at the primary level, and has over 13 years experience working with children. Adonica is an active member of her church and enjoys traveling.
Michelle Hegedus has been a parent with our school for 6 years, and the school's Administrator for a year. She teaches in the Elementary program. She has a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Maryland, an M.B.A. from the University of West Florida, and is currently doing her Elementary level Montessori certification at the Montessori Training Center of Minnesota through the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). She is the mother of Brenna 8, Sloane 5, and Rowan 2.

Ms. Elisa Dickon has a Masters of Music from Cleveland Institute of Music in harp performance and a Masters of Science from ODU. She is a trained Montessori teacher through the Virginia Montessori Teacher Education Center. She has taught at Interlochen Center for the Arts, Old Dominion University, The College of WIlliam and Mary, and Norfolk Academy. She was also the principal harpist with the Virginia Symphony, Virginia Opera, Young Audiences of Virginia and many chamber music groups.
